It would have been so cool if 47 was able to buy the house and move in to kill the targets in a big welcome party or smth like that. They could have added so many goofy suburban things into this. I think this mission could have been the best mission ever if they had put a bit more time into it. The only thing i really liked was the way 47 presented the house to the target the dialog is hilarious. The missions are nothing too crazy or new. There are too many houses you cant even enter or only enter partially. Prove me wrong! Idk man for me it felt like whittleton is kinda empty feeling. Such as the cul de sac, opera theatre, spa resort in blood money, and the mansion in contracts. The best hitman maps of all time imo are average sized but huge room for sandbox hijinx. Mendoza: 'The Farewell' (Hitman 3) (Image credit: IO Interactive) Samuel: I personally think this is the best Hitman 3 level for replay value, because it's such a massive location broken down. Everyone loves huge maps(saipanza, miami etc.) and I get WHY they do, but I feel they kind of miss the barn door for the forest in a way, small but very deep and sandbox-like maps are where hitman shines. Originally posted by Yoke:I really like the neighbourhood, reminds me of a blood money map. The targets are too separated for me and the setting of a cartel in a jungle is not exactly the most unique idea. Hitman: Codename 47 was released in 2000 and is the first game in the series. A bit like a Hokkaido for me, but better.ģ-Headed Serpent, I didn't like at all. And a very interesting design too, but not my favourite. Is a step up in difficulty from the rest as there is less secluded areas, and a nice final level. The context of the mission meant you need to eliminate both targets quickly or the first one silently. On my first playthrough, I really struggled to find a place to shoot the targets and in the end followed a Mission Story, I rather not do that on first playthrough. The Isle of Sgail? Personally, I didn't love it.

Whittlecreek, basically a modern reimagination of A New Life from Blood Money in some ways. Make the crowded streets a location for the target, while the well defended compounds looks like an extension of the streets rather than a fortress. Mumbai I feel is essentially Marrakesh done right. But because everything is so compact, the setting is very cohesive. I reckon the best designed mission is Hawkes Bay, but they clearly pulled some punches as it is essentially the tutorial level. But there is a lot of flashy ways of getting the targets and I feel msot of the map is used, and used well. It certainly wasn't a great map initially, I feel it was a little chaotic with too much happening with a race track AND the Kronstadt building. Miami, it has taken me a while, but I have warmed up to it. A million ways to seek the perfect kill.Feel like hating a map entirely because of fake NPCs is a little narrow minded, sure real NPCs are better but their mere existent don't make the entire map bad especially they are always just making a place seem crowded. Learning the many routes to each target, or playing the game's various constrained versions of its missions: you must use this weapon, this disguise, in this amount of time. Just poking each system to see how it reacts, how the patterns of non-player characters adjust and wobble to my actions.

And each one already feels like a place I could live in forever. That adds up to a lot of murder sandboxes. There are half a dozen levels like this in Hitman 2, with more coming in DLC, alongside revamped versions of the original game's levels to match the updated systems of the second game. Each level feels both focused and wildly sprawling, a masterfully designed sandbox of killing and chaos.

The levels are huge-entire isolated villages, full city blocks of bustling pedestrians and happenings, tiny bespoke open worlds of possibility. Nearly any character in a level can be interacted with on a one-on-one basis, using their clothes as a disguise, distracting them or using them as a distraction, or just getting into a fight for the fun of it. Like, almost literally, they feel endless. And the possibilities for your success are endless. As Agent 47, a nameless, perfect assassin, you enter into sprawling, complicated levels in order to find, corner, and eliminate targets.
